Budgeting For Hiring a Driver
Many drivers will earn £40,000 to £55,000 per annum, but more experienced drivers and ones with a security background will expect a gross annual salary of £60,000+. However, the exact salary will depend on many things, which is why we will find the chauffeur that will fit your budget and lifestyle.
Moreover, remember to include the employer’s National Insurance contributions, which roughly contribute an additional 10% to the overall salary.
Considerations For Hiring a Driver
Agreements: It’s an absolute must to know exactly the work hours, duties, compensation, holiday, if travelling is required, live in or live out, bonuses, perks etc.
Personal Assistance Tasks: Do you need the driver to also perform a PA role?
Travelling: Do you also need a driver for longer trips? If so, what are the arrangements for that?
Driving unaccompanied children: Is the driver required to drive your children to school or events?
Specific vehicle: Do you need him to have experience driving a certain type of vehicle?
Security: Do you need him to hold any security training?
