In the recent period, we have been contacted by various candidates asking whether it’s our company talking to them and asking them for their private details.
The answer is no! Do not send them your private information.
It seems like there is a phishing campaign where the attacker impersonates Hazelton Clive Ltd staff and asks for your private details, documents and other data most likely with the purpose of identity theft.
In the same way, banks or other similar companies don’t have the ability to stop third parties from impersonating them, the power to prevent and stop these attacks lies within the targets’ (candidates’) power.
This means that:
- You should never send your documents to someone randomly contacting you on Whatsapp/SMS/Email. When you’re dealing with us, it’s because you submitted your CV to us via a job board. But even so, an attacker could exploit some job boards that don’t verify agency details.
- You should exclusively send your details only after we had an interview and just to emails ending in hazeltonclive.co.uk.
- Before sending your details, make sure you contact us using the data we posted on our website to confirm the agent belongs to Hazelton Clive.
Attackers might send you emails from addresses that spoof our contact details, including calling you from a phone number that looks like ours. They can even register similar domains with just a character that has been changed.
But if you call us or send us emails with the details posted on our contact us page, you can be sure that we will receive your communication and not the attacker.
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to stop them, but it’s in your power to pay attention.
We will never contact you and ask for your private information!
